I just don't understand how Touhou is so popular, every single character design from that whole
series is horrendous. It's actually amazing how consistently shitty they are given just how many
there are.

The characters have very distinct designs and they are rooted in japanese folklore.
I guess it also helps that the games themselves are excellent with great music to boot.
