Most critics go to see movies to do exactly that, criticize, they're not there because the movie
is a treat that is gifted to them by some unseen force, they carry a responsibility as a
/usually/ payed critic, and thus go in with a mind set that judges the film based on it's merits
as a film, not as a hype train.
On the opposite side, the audience is there without such requirements, they're just there to
enjoy a film with all the trimmings that would attend to their attention spans, short or
otherwise.
tl;dr
Critics don't take bullshit unless it comes with a brick of gold.
