What happens if you beat the boss without the orbs?

There are three different endings to this game:
The first ending is when you beat the boss without using all 3 orbs. Nothing special happens,
although the sign the hanging man carriers does change.
The second ending is gotten after beating the game 3 times, without using all 3 orbs on any of
the 3 games.
The third ending is from using all 3 orbs on the boss fight in the top, left, and right sides of
the boss area. Interestingly enough, you can activate the pedestals outside the boss area and go
into the library, but there's no significance to this area other than a nifty little scene.
There's a slot for the 4th AKA "True" Ending, but it never made it into the game.
