what happens if you feed it different kind of bullets? or is it physically impossible?
is there a fail safe to that or will it just not shoot/feed the bullet into a chamber at all?

Depends on the size of the different bullet, if it was too different than they wouldn't fit in
the magazine, if they where pretty close it would either not fire or jam.
In WW2 all the different nations used almost exactly the same size round, but they were slightly
different, so if you tried to fire one from the wrong gun it could seriously fuck up your gun.
