As an American this makes me kinda sad because I feel like the video is mocking us?

Because the truth is American history is the greatest history in the entire history of the world.
Most modern technology, medicine and science was created in American.
The modern world itself was largely crafted by and created by America.
Shame that Western media for some reason typically wants people to forget our great past and even
has college kids demonizing and removing statues of founding fathers because they owned a slave
or some shit (which was normal back then can't compare relative morals across huge lengths of
