Nah.
Its an indie master piece made by a smart dude who poured his heart and soul into it.
Sure it was influenced by and took things from other games. That isn't a bad thing.
Oh and a large percentage of the fanbase never played mother so that nostalgia thing is bs.
If you don't like the story, the characters, the cool/unique game mechanics and the amazing
dialogue/interactivity of the world that is fine but many other did.
I found the gameplay enjoyable even if obviously it isn't overly challenging for those who good
eye/hand coordination.
Didn't prevent me from loving the game and truly enjoying playing it.
