I've been meaning to ask. How exactly do you pronounce "sake" the salmon, as opposed to "sake"
the alcoholic drink?

It's a difference in the intonation of the words and its very subtle. IIRC sake as in the drink
ke is emphasized and sake as in the fish sa is emphasized. Even then it's still hard to know the
difference out of context so a lot of people pronounce sake as in salmon as shake instead because
that's another acceptable pronunciation and this is actually what Yuuko says in this.
