Jesus Christ mate, no need to get all deep and psycho-analyze me.
I just feel like recently I go to /f/ and like, I can look at a filename, and say, 'Ah, I know
that one, I won't click on it b/c it isn't quite my thing', and that usually happens w/ 75% of
the board. Granted, if all flashes got renamed, 75% still wouldn't be my thing, but it'd be way
more interesting to have my curiosity piqued like that.

The only good reason I know of is that swfchan archives by name, so renaming creates tons of
duplicates that have to be grouped

The fact that people get their panties in a bunch over renaming flashes if part of why people do
it in the first place. You get mad and that makes them happy. You must remember where you are.

Most renames are attempts by the OP to organize them in some meaningful way. Which is worthless,
because the original name, assuming the primary source did not use a stupid name like
"jdoiwjoi123910.swf", is always the best way to organize them.
The only time when renaming a flash is acceptable is as a joke.
