  I've wondered for years what Bouncing Touhous references. In which one of those games do they do
  belly flops?

  Is it part of all the games, so no one ever bothers to explain since I should just play the game

  well the music is Mario RPG. I assumed it was a joke because they kinda bounce when you make them
  hit the ground in the side scroller versions of touhou.
