No young one, Stamper does not pull the strings himself, those strings have long slept the long
sleep.
long, long ago, in the before times, when net speeds were counted in baud, and 4chan was not a
glimmer in the eye of Old Ones... There was a show. The Show. Not a stream, or a playlist, not
through fiber or phone or cable, but through the air itself. In the before times, powerful
wizards could bend hangers into magic fetishes that would call this show from the air and into a
dazzling picture tube, and from those tubes, we few littles could sit, and bask, and see what was
not meant to be seen. Pterri and Chairry, Conky and Reba... and when the morning sun was low on
the days when littles had no fear of school, Pee-Wee himself would invite us to his playhouse,
and it was good.
Stamper is a wizard of a different sort, for he can call the echo's of The Show, echo's long
past, and bend them anew, like the old ones bent their hangers. He bends and twists, and breathes
the breath of life, and the echo live again with their new breath, and their new words, and it
too is good.
Stamper is no string puller, but he is bender of echos, and a summoner of fine memories.
