yeah, the shimmers don't move with the record, they stay in place. that's how lighting works.
just make the label do full rotations and make the grooves move a little

Nevermind, the software I'm using completely rips the quality of the image when i rotate it and I
don't have the patience needed to repeat the same process with increasing length to do.

Try retracing the label in vector format? You could then move it around without quality loss.
