The skin tone, eyes, and somber expression reflects the modal despondence of a young individual
in the middle east, in my eyes. How they might prepare their weapon of self defense, in hopes
that it wont be needed, but in the back of their mind they know full well they may be in a
position to use it for their or anothers sake, with the knowledge that a rifle is of no use
without the will to use it, and in its use it may lead to death. The fruit of their efforts wait
in vain, for the longing for the day to be over outweighs the worth of living that day; over and
over.
