what killed it for me was skilled people being allowed to play on my server.
sounds like a joke but getting killed over and over again without a chance doesn't really keep
new players in the game, which eventually makes old players stop playing too since it starts
getting harder to find a full game. in addition to those stopping because they grow older and
dont have time, or find other games to discover.
eventually the servers are empty and the devs lose motivation to fix the game because nobody
plays it anyway. and here we are.

also, just remembered, the game didn't have any interaction with other players except spamming
shazbot. got tiresome really quickly. i tried chatting but nobody saw the white text that stayed
for whole 2 seconds and they actually mixed in "shazbot" text from playing the audio sample into
the real chat... when the match was over the chat disappered and you had to open the console to
say "thanks for the match", which only me ever bothered to do.
i figure they got rid of chatting because people are just rude in it usually anyway but it would
have been better to just remove chatting from the game altogether. felt like sending text into a
white hole.
