I cannot watch series where most of the jokes are at the expense of the main character.
It is just a killjoy to see someone albeit a fictional one get shit on constantly by everyone
else.
Watamote was almost as bad, but at least you realize that a lot of her problems were self created
and rarely were they forced on her by others.
I imagine the people that like this sort of premise are the same sickos that also enjoy to an
extent humiliation, bdsm, and possibly even physical abuse, torture, gore, or killings.
Sadism is a mental illness.

I'm like this where the main character is indecisive or unable to make basic life decisions.
Evangelion was so frustrating because the world is fascinating and compelling but the main
character experiences basically no growth and is obnoxiously weak.
This Japanese trope with weak main characters is bad enough, but then mix it with the trope of
extending reaction shots for like 15 seconds apiece like in garbage like dragon ball Z, and
suddenly we have episodes of TV shows that are fully half just the audience watching some
spineless unsympathetic bland idiot's lips quiver while they stare at something offscreen that's
just too hard for them to deal with.
