It's a critique people who make games about games from a modern, feminist perspective.
So for example, the layers of logic go: Nintendo makes a game about a silly plumber, defeating
strange enemies, collecting coins, and saving a princess.
Some try hard makes a game about it, not really changing the mechanics but making the theme more
"edgy". Like, Mario being an asshole instead of a hero, the enemies being reasonable instead of
mindless angry faces, etc.
And then there's this game, which is a game about the try-hard's game, pointing out how forced
and out-of-place these hard feminist slant's are when applied to a silly children's game from 30+
years ago.
And of course this game emphasizes how shitty the try-hard's game is by not really giving any
valuable gameplay, and forcing drawn out bored conversations to repeatedly hit the point over and
over that "mario is a bad guy" and "video games are perpetuating toxic masculinity". So the game
is shitty because it's supposed to be, if you buy that.

Some context for you faggots, This was made by The Best Gamers in response to a really shitty
satire game of Mario where the player explores the REAL mushroom kingdom where Mario is an
oppressive and violent, murdurous male (representative of gamers), as seen in the post credits
screenshot., that got mild praise on a couple of sites or something. One of the points they were
making with it is that it took them no time or effort to throw this together.
