moot thought it would be used for screamers and overly loud sound (the way it has been used in
this board ever since it was created) thus making 4chan as a whole even less of an sfw experience
than it already is. Besides uploading copyrighted material with sound would (supposedly) make
many right holders that are on the fence start sending dmca notices by the truckload giving him
unending legal problems (before you ask this board and gif/wsg get off for being too small).

Anyway you can get webms with sound (and even whole movies if you are good enough with
compression and find the correct site) by uploading them to one of the sites in here:

It doesn't work that way. They could allow sound without rising the filesize limit and force the
users to squeeze sound in the current limit (you can put a few minutes of audio in a single
vorbis compressed mb).
