Why does that confuse you?
Pepperoni slices especially at shit places are often covered in pools of nasty orange oil.
Even good places often still have them to some degree and even paper toweling them often isn't
enough as that oil can drench all the way through at times or hide in pockets or underneath the
pepperoni slices themselves.
Some retards actually "like" the orange chemical oil but it tastes like shit, is unhealthy for
you and just makes the slice overly soggy (I personally like my slices fairly crisp and not very
moist).
Pepperoni does often suck and I haven't been to many joints who can really pull off a pepperoni
slice without shitting it up and who knows why that was (perhaps they had a different cooking
process or used a different type of meat).
When you eat pizza "oil" should not be one of the main flavors you taste. There should only be a
very light hint of it in the sauce underlying the cheese itself and no more then that.
