how'd the snorkel twinkie barn meme even start anyways? it's so bizarre

thank you for posting with the proper name

Someone renamed heartbeat.swf to snorkel twinkie barn and then people kept on posting it with
that name (145 times to date I might add) in order to get other people mad at the rename. Then
someone made this flash last year.

It's based on that shit website that gives file names 3 random words.
There's also a file organizer that does it.
In my case, for files with no original names, I just use base64. Base64 for all!

I can also just type `rn to assign random names easily in any file dialog window.
I could use a procedural name generator, I've written like 7 of the things for various purposes.
I'm considering changing it to that one day.

What website?

I can't remember the name of it, literally as I typed it.
Fucking hate it when that happens.
I never used the site because it sucks.
It just done something like https://domain.tld/word1word2word3

gyfcat, no? It's a file host for html5 images or something

Yeah, it was similar to that.
I guess it must have been the file organizer then since that site seems to only be for GIFs.
It was a dude on /g/ that wrote it since I remember talking to him about it and how I might
consider doing it as well since base64 isn't as memorable.
There's also a mapping site, what3words, that does a similar thing.
It splits the whole world in to a grid represented by 3 words.
It's meant to be some new super cool ultra precise no-GPS mapping system.
I remember testing it out for them and labelled my friends flat "dicksLiveHere". Top bants.
You could buy custom labels for your own use and share them.

Not *quite* correct:
This is the "Last Resort CD Mix" of Trentemoller's Moan
There's the original, with the music video, and the other remix
This one is off the CD The Last Resort

It can't be gfycat: that format is <adjective> <adjective> <animal name>.
The renamer was pissed off about the "no renaming" mantra, so he decided to give a popular flash
another name and post it until the new name overtook the original name. I believe the intent was
to make the "no renaming" people hypocrites, as they would be objecting to what was now the most
popular name.

The fuck.
When I opened this flash it was original heartbeat.swf with Alice Margatroid. But I browse this
stupid board so long I memorized the size - it should be 800~something Kb. This one is 450 Kb.
I refreshed it like 5 times and only then it finally transformed into proper snorkel twinkie
barn. I guess it was incorrectly cached by my browser, but I have never had this kind of
behaviour after 8 years of occasional browsing /f/.
Did hiroyuki fuck up something?

No, ISP catches stuff. I've seen it happen a few times personally, from having Daily Dose up when
I go to the bookmark I have of it but nobody had posted it to still showing the original
SugarBaby when I posted a different flash uner that name.
