Whole show was really disappointing desu. I'm still glad I waited til the day it was finished so
I could binge it though, because waiting week-to-week for that shit would've actually killed me.
The entire thing with the Witch's powers being given to him was NEVER ACTUALLY EXPLAINED EVER,
not to mention they built her up to be the final boss but then the story as a whole didn't really
go anywhere because he took too many retries to save his dumb waifus.
The problem with time leap retry stories is that you have to find a way to make the plot
progression stand out enough to feel like it actually happened and, more importantly, mattered in
the grand scheme of things. Something about the pacing made me feel like the entire show was left
incomplete and honestly felt more like the first arc of a 24-episode series had happened by the
end.
Subaru's incompetence in suddenly forgetting about his Return By Death powers at certain points
when people die are utterly baffling after he's been through the loop a few fucking times
already, but maybe I'm just too jaded to be as shocked as the MCs of any seinen-themed fiction
anymore, idk.

Alot of Emilia's character development was left out of the anime, she's much more present in Arc
4, which would be the beginning of season 2 should it continue.
