Machinarium was too good.

Botanicula was fun

I wouldn't consider Botanicula a true point and click. We've had like, 1 game from that genre
every 2 years, it's been pretty shit. All because people don't buy them.

How about tormentum? I guess you also don't like the tell tale style of point and click otherwise
I would have recommended those

I tried botanicula but it bugged out when in one room everything was playing at once and I
couldn't progress further and I've never tried to it play again since
I guess I should watch some let's play or something to see if the "story" actually wraps up at
the end

Telltale games are essentially CYOA VNs, not point and click.
Never heard of it, I'll check it out.

I'm not holding my breath though.

They had their time, and left gold behind.
Monkey Island for the win.

The Dark Eye: Chains of Satinav and it's sequel were pretty good. Much better than Daedalic's
other stuff, imo. Not a whole lot like Machinarium, but still a fun point-and-click with an
interesting story. Might check it out.

Actually, Tormentum looks pretty good, nice concentration on puzzles over collecting items I see,
which is probably why it was able to be ported comfortably to mobile.
Not sure I like the look of Dark Eye but I'll keep an eye on it.
>$20
See, this is why point and clicks are dying, nobody wants to gamble $20 on a game that could end
up being only 3 hours long with no replayability. Even Samorost 3, as nice as that game is,
suffers from this.
The genre just needs a revamp. Some replayability would go a long way, a game with a narrative
device like Bastion's would go well I think, or even just actual branching paths...
