If you have a double-parachute failure, you should do something awesome, like a karate kick all
the way to the ground, or a swan dive or something.

This. Resigning yourself to death is the worst way to go out. Go out kicking and screaming;
humans HAVE survived double parachute failures at a nonzero rate.

In case of a double malfunction, simply align yourself perpendicular to the ground and put your
right leg over your left leg. That way the first responders only have to un-screw you from the
ground.

You could try putting yourself in a position where you roll when you hit the ground, if you do it
perfectly you could probably roll really hard and ragdoll your ribs out of comission but live
maybe.

And to think this could all have been avoided by not skydiving. How ironic.
>>3227128
Wouldn't trying to increase your own surface area while slowing your descent be a better option?

Not like I know which is better. There's a reason all those parkour faggots tuck into a roll
whenever they jump off buildings and shit though. Try doing both next time you're freefalling to
your death I guess.

It wouldn't be that bad. It's a quick death. I'd say it's better than something that drags on for
months even years like cancer. At least you have some time for reflection before you smash into a
billion little bits on the ground. Maybe do a couple flips?
I'd rather die instantly after a short fall rather than slowly over months as my body slowly
deteriorates around me.

>It's a quick death.
That's the thing though, the death itself is quick, but you're floating there in the air for
several minutes, fully aware and conscious to the fact that your death is seconds away. I do
agree that cancer is probably just as bad, but in a different way. With cancer though you have
time to put your affairs in order and prepare for your death, rather than being unable to do
anything as you watch the ground grow closer and closer. Best way to die is probably severe car
crash or sudden hearth attack, dead before you even know what happened.

On the bright side, You fall 3 to 1 out so you can pretty much choose any place you can see as
your resting place. If you aim for an evergreen you may even survive.... but who would want to do
that?

Flying for a bit and enjoying the view before instant death sounds ok.
some likely worse ways to go:
being eaten alive(sharks, tigers/insects)
disease(cancer/aids/virus)
drowning
Premature Burial(fuck this one)
cruel execution:
Scaphism
Sawing
flaying
Brazen Bull/The Gridiron
Ling Chi
Crucifixion(a classic)

I suggest you add vertical impalement to that list.

true, I was being brief.
I don't see how you wouldn't bleed out even if it didn't hit vitals though, I think that part is
a myth I don't feel like researching.
a similar one done in japan is to have bamboo (grows a foot a day) slowly impale someone
naturally.
personally I thing scaphism via casket at sea/lake/pond is one of the worst of the bunch.
You're locked in a wooden container with your face exposed and turned to the sun and for the
insects/birds to enjoy for days.
the container is full of your own shit with holes for the bugs to get in. sometimes they'll check
on you and force feed you water to keep you going.
imagine flies and carrion/maggots in your eyes and nose with no way to swat at them.
people are the real monsters.

The speed difference between a person that aims their head straight at the ground and someone
trying to go for maximum surface area is fairly negligible, weather you hit concrete at 120mph or
105mph you'll be liquefied either way, best way would be to aim for a tree or steep hill, if
you're lucky it's winter and you can aim for a snow covered hill. It would also probably be best
to land on your back so that the parachute can at least cushion the impact a little.
Or you could spend your last minute trying to make your peace, if you've got a double chute
failure, god probably wants you dead anyway.

>so that the parachute can at least cushion the impact a little
you mean snap your back? not smart to create an uneven landing surface, even if you move it to
your stomach
ive heard the best chances of surving is to do a "swan dive" with straight legs and arms straight
out at your shoulders, hitting the ground with your chest. still little chance but that is
supposed to be your best bet...

the one way I saw a dude survive this was by having his second shute not properly open so he had

If you ask me, why would want to live at that point?
I don't know the specifics of any cases where someone has lived from a skydiving incident, but
the pain and aftermath of surviving something like that really makes me think that just dying
would be better.
At the very least you probably won't enjoy skydiving anymore.
