Lasagna, it's like a cake but with noodles and meat and stuff
meat stuffs: 1:1 ground pork or Italian sausage and lean ground beef
I do 1 lb to 1 lb
Others stuff
At least 4 cloves of garlic minced
1 green bell pepper chopped smol
1/2 large sweet onion chopped smol
Some fresh basil 3-4 leaves
Italian spice mix (Alessi dipping spice works well)
(or just kinda mix up some dried thyme, basil and oregano with salt and pepper and some red chili
flakes)
16 oz ricotta cheese
24 oz mozzarella
lasagna noodles
Olive oil
canned diced tomatoes
2 whatever jarred tomato sauce was on sale that week (spice it up it won't matter)
In a pot large enough to hold a shit ton of noodles fill with water 8 cups idk and add 6 tbsp
salt and bring to a boil
cook pasta 6-8 min or whatever it says on the box minus a min or so
drain and submerge in cold water to stop them from going mush
In a large pan on medium high get 3 tbs olive oil hot
add garlic, pepper, onion and a pinch of salt and a little all purpose Ital seasoning
toss until onions start becoming transparent
add canned diced tomatoes with the liquid
cook 3 min
add meat stuffs and break up forming and even layer
stir until mostly browned set 4 - 8 min
set on low while preparing sauce pot
In a large pot add 2 can pasta sauce
add 3 basil leaves and spice to taste
(aprox 1 Tbsp all purpose Italian magics stuffs S&P maybe some thyme)
dump your meat mix in and stir and let it simmer for at least 30 min
In yet another bowl mix ricotta and 16 oz mozzarella with some garlic powder and a touch of S&P
(if you like the cheese firmer you can add an egg here to the mix here)
In a 9x13 pan layer as follows:
Sauce, noodle, cheese mix, sauce, noodle cheese mix... ... repeat until you run out of room or
noodles
coat top with left over grated mozz and bake at 350 from at least 45min

It's a solid recipie, but not authentic.
for REAL lasagna, NEVER use mozzarella; the only cheese used should be Parmigiana Reggiano, or a
similar aged cheese. Of course, if you like it with mozzarella, by all means! (I do ) It's just
not the very realest deal then.
