There's definitely some bullshit in there even though I know only a little of the Swedish
situation, for instance the whole "immigrants are pushing up housing prices", which has been
documented to be mainly due to laws passed in the past which lead to privatization of the
previously controlled real estate industry, new laws that require public real estate owners to
operate at a profit, very low rate of new construction, and loopholes in the law which has
allowed the land owners to evict people with controlled cheap rent if they pass it off as a
"renovation" leading to soaring prices which price out many people.
