How do you guys do it? I have a bunch of sub folders but that get's messy after a while because
you eventually have too many sub-folders and it becomes difficult to decide on where to place
things that belong in multiple categories.
I'm considering cutting back to fewer sub folders and then having a textfile within each one that
has each filename and then tags next to them. That way I can search for the tags because windows
explorer looks through text files. The problem is that I can't search for multipul tags at the
same time. Maybe a database program would work better?
Marked for deletion (old).

all my flashes are in a folder called "flash"

Mine started out that way, but some files have the same name. Also there's ~2800 of them.

Ah, well I only save flashes that I really like and ones I've made so I only have about 100 or
so, if you don't know what a flash is by the title you should just delete it because it's
obviously shit.

Just because I don't remember something's name doesn't mean it's bad. Especially if the name
isn't pronounceable.

I have 266 flashes and I know what they are just by looking at their filename

drive:\
\ _media *
\ swf
\ major type of the flash (anime, porn, etc.)
\ folders for each occurrence of that Flash
\ every renamed version.swf
I save every single rename of every flash in a folder.
Ain't no opening text files to find shit. I'll post whatever one annoys most people.
Haters be hatin.
* Underscore is for sorted media.
I have another "media" folder to dump shit in quickly.
I sort everything usually every month.

I don't care enough or access it frequently enough to justify spending that kind of time to sort
hundreds of flashes.

If you're the dedicated type, you could just design a custom "booru" tagging system of your own
with java/python.
>Set aside a directory to hold all your flash files
>In the root level of the flash, have a text/data file that contains the filenames of each file
>under each filename is the list of tags associated with that flash
>write some kind of simple GUI/CLI program that lets you do a search on a tag or tags, and
returns a list of flash files in your directory that match those tags

simple.
keep multiple folders but only one instance of each file in a master folder.
if something fits in "anime" and "game" just create a shortcut to the file in both of those
folders.
