Here is a Beef Brisket recipe that turned out really well a couple weeks ago:
all the tools you need are a knife, pan, bowl and some foil.
make a rub using 2tbs chili powder, 1 tbs salt, 1tbs garlic powder, 1tbs onion powder, 1tbs black
pepper, 1tbs sugar, 2tsp dry mustard and a crushed bay leaf in a bowl
Preheat oven to 350 F. get 4 lbs trimmed brisket beef and season the entire thing in the rub,
place that in a deep pan for roasting, you could also rub some extra BBQ sauce of your choice
depending on your tastes (I prefer dry, but after trying with sauce & rub it tastes good too,) if
you do so, the BBQ/rub can marinade the beef in a bag overnight.
Roast for 1 hour uncovered and without stock at 350. After roasting, fill pan with 1 1/2 cups of
beef stock then continue with water until it is ~ 1/2 an inch from the pan base throughout. set
oven to 300 and cover pan with foil tightly for about 3 hours when it is nice and tender.
Slice thinly across the grain and top with juice from the pan.
