>going to swfchan
Last time I went there I got a popup that wouldn't let me x it out, I had to use task manager to
close it. I don't care enough about flashes to get viruses for them.

what kind of off-brand or unpatched browser are you using for that to happen though?
not being able to close a window due to javascript alerts or whatever haven't been a problem for
minimum 5 years now, update your stuff

It still happens with chrome.

I'm using the latest Firefox version and a few days ago I got an uncloseable popup from KissAnime
that brought FF to 100% CPU usage and brought my disk usage up to a few Mb/s. I have NoScript
disabled though.

wait it happens in firefox too? wonder what sorcery they are using. though in your case it sounds
like they froze the browser and didnt just prevent the window from being closed. of course maybe
that's what >>3231711 meant with "wouldn't let me x it out" (it's not the same as being unable to
close a window due to the whole browser being frozen)

It wasn't frozen in the literal sense, the UI was still updating to window events like
hovering/clicking the buttons, it just wouldn't close without killing in task manager. If you
wanna try it yourself here's the link: http://microsoft.com-port207.info/msie1.php
Disclaimer for new readers, that's a bad website, don't go to it unless you want to see how it
freezes your browser.

Sometimes I don't want to download torrents and it's got good 1080p streams with 0 buffering
issues

anymore
