Burger King is owned nowadays by Restaurant Brands International, which is Canadian. However that
company is owned by Berkshire Hathaway, Pershing Square Capital Management and 3G Capital, all of
which are US (with a little Brazilian in there too).
Of course ownership is a bit meh since shareholders are spread out here and there over the world,
though it seems like there are mostly US shareholders for all the parent companies. What counts
is where the thing was founded and that the company still stay true to the principles established
during its founding (for example Volvo is still considered Swedish even though it isn't exactly
owned by Swedish people anymore).
