i cant open .swf files that i download to my computer. Is there anyway I can fix this? I used to
be able to open them on my old computer in a browser tab but now I can't for some reason.

Flash not working properly in Chrome? Here's how to fix it:
1) Go to chrome://settings/content and select "Allow sites to run Flash".
2) Go to chrome://flags/#prefer-html-over-flash and select "Disabled" from the list.
(Copy the link addresses and manually paste them into the address bar.)
Local flashes not playing offline in Firefox? Here's how to fix it:
1) Type "about:config" into your address bar and search for "plug*ht".
2) Double-click "plugins.http_https_only" to set its value to false.

I got a problem too, when I open a flash and click onto a different tab and back on, I can't
click on anything within the flash, like this ones "continue" button in the disclaimer. I suppose
I could just use the tab key, but that's lame.
Firefox, by the by.

You can download the most recent archived version and then extract the standalone player (the
.exe ends in "sa" iirc)
Set that as your default program for .swf
