I've won going full automation, but can you win without automating at all? I get pretty far, but
towards the end, they start making bad products/coding errors and I go bankrupt.

You can win paying them nothing just dragging into research and back down since everytime they
join they do a bit of research for free

Simple, when the game first asks you to set the wages to 1, set the assembly to 1 then drag him
to research. He then works for free. Just fire/rehire him a few times when he actually asks for
money.
