First time having this issue, anybody know what the fuck is going on? All flashes are showing a
blank white page, rightclick > Play doesn't work. Just updated flash to see if that fixed and it
didn't. Please help. Windows 7

doesn't it prompt to download it instead?
try this
Flash not working properly in Chrome? Here's how to fix it:
1) Go to chrome://settings/content and select "Allow sites to run Flash".
2) Go to chrome://flags/#prefer-html-over-flash and select "Disabled" from the list.
Copy the link addresses and manually paste them into the address bar.

It's prompting me to download now that I've fiddled with things but usually when I click a link
it opens in browser. Using firefox by the way, and have never had this issue before. When using
"Open with" firefox, it just brings me to another white page.
>> [_] Anonymous 08/30/17(Wed)02:23:14 No.3276639
Update: Having it me ask to download was just from temporarily disabling flash, and now its back
to empty white pages

Having the same problem here. It's not present on other sites.
I'm using Firefox and Flash 26. I recently updated Flash, that might be the source of the problem.

Update: Disable 4chan X. That fixes it.

Have you not updated Firefux in the past year or so?
Anyway, try this, it's been a pain for over a year now, I have to do it every time I start the
browser, to have flash actually play in a tab instead of being prompted to download:
go to Tools>Options
Click the applications tab
find the entry for
>Shockwave Flash Object (application/futuresplash)
Select the option "Use shockwave Flash (In Firefox)"
EVEN IF IT'S ALREADY SELECTED!! (just select it again!)
Now go ahead and find the entry for
>Shockwave Flash Object (application/x-shockwave-flash)
and do the same exact thing, even if it's already selected- just select it again.
Now try to open a flash in a fresh tab. You should see it fine, and not be met with a blank tab
and/or a prompt to download the file.
If it works, you'll have to do this EVERY TIME you start the browser, since Firefux no longer
respects your explicit settings for Flash (or anything else for that matter).
If it doesn't work, then maybe you have a script blocker enabled? I didn't see one on your UI in
the screenshot.

I have the latest firefox as far as I know, never had this issue until today. I tried doing this
but I don't have that option under applications tab. Ignore the blacked out boxes, they are just
programs that would likely illicit greentext arrows and aren't related.

Will try this in a minute but honestly I don't know if I'll be able to enjoy 4chan without 4chanx
ever again

Disabling 4chanx worked. Hopefully they update it soon to not do this. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I use Firefox and this worked for me:

ok, I'm guessing I have those because I have CS6 installed as well as flash player plugin.
In any case, you have SWF File set to "Always Ask", in which case it won't automatically play.
Set it to run in Firefox.

On the firefox add-ons menu click on 'user scripts' on the bar to the left. Search for 4chan x or
appchan or whatever and click on options. On the 'user settings' tab you'll see an 'excluded
pages' section, click on add and paste the following:
http://i.4cdn.org/*.swf
Presto! Now you can enjoy all the perks of your favorite extension without having to say goodbye
to that swf pr0n that you love so much. Tune in next week for a guide on how to avoid pesky
african-americans asking for directions!
