What is in the newest edition that isn't in the last CS 1 - 6? They add one "new major feature"
per version, which is actually just copied from open source technology like content-aware fill,
stolen from gimp.
Pirating adobe CS 1 - 6 is so easy, you can download the full trial from their server, replace
amtlib.dll with a cracked version which works universally, and be done.

CS6 is the most worthwhile, they started removing some useful features after it (XML embedding
and all the tools in the Alt+Enter preview window). Sure they added some other stuff but it
wasn't something I could make use of. Things are fuzzy now but I think all they added was things
they had previously removed for some dumb reason, like the bone tool and SVG import support.
Animate CC also have smoothing turned on by default on images, which saves a couple of clicks
compared to CS6.
Only thing I miss in CS6 is the SVG support. Adobe removed it to try and force their own stupid
fxg format, which is almost the same as svg.
I don't think anything big has been added since Adobe Flash Professional CC came out in 2013. Can
you even export to swf in Adobe Animate CC 2017?

I sort of agree with their premise of lowering prices so poorer people can afford it.
Subscriptions would be fine if they offered a reasonable price while also offering "buy it all at
once". Instead of subscription a loan where you "subscribe" by paying the price over time and
will eventually pay it off entirely would be better.
