As soon as the music started, I knew it was going to suck. I hate being right sometimes.
Pacing is vital. If all you're trying to do is look cool, your fight is just going to suffer from
stupid power escalation, where it pretty quickly becomes about completely disregarding physics...
and if we wanted a battle of people floating around, farting and accidentally destroying planets,
and then deciding to teleport instead of actually, y'know, move... then we'd watch DBZ. Or not.
You can only do so much before your interest wanes and it is nothing more than "oh look, some
other punch, some other kick" whilst one ragdoll flops around in the middle of a sea of different
coloured ragdolls.
Every fight scene protagonist is a fucking Mary Sue, now. Where is the fun if your win is shown
guaranteed from the start?
