ehh, yes and no - The song for the most part is talking about a "socialist weltrepublik" (think
Warsaw pact, china, and 1 or two other nations).
The Soviet Union is named directly because at the time of writing it was both the strongest
communist power, and the sponsor and guarantor of the GDR's continued existence.
Germany as a country and the Germans as a people aren't mentioned both because the the song is
intended to be a blow against nationalism, and because any appeal to "German Sentiments" might
lead to sympathy with the West Germans.
