Build a city? I spend most of my time besieging others', gathering resources and sending my
armies out in flexible groups to engage the enemies.
You cannot focus on merely building a city, unless you want somebody to come along and take your
cherished city with a few siege weapons and paladins.

i just played to build a city, the military stuff i kept to just ship battles. of course if i had
actually played against an ai that attacked me i would have had to be on the offence too, but i
didnt. hell, one map i just paid the corsairs to leave me alone the entire map, i really liked
