I always used to say Lucy (as in -in the Sky with Diamonds) on the phone and the like but my
friends here all say Alice (as in Alice Dee). Which is more widespread?

So, Alice and other Disney-mixes (besides Upular which was essentially commissioned by
Disney/Pixar) were taken down from Pogo's Youtube channel. Bangarang was too, due to a Sony claim.
In the US, Pogo would be exercising the fair use clause under copyright law. He is taking a very
small portion of audio from movies (and video, in the case where he creates a corresponding video
to go along with the song) and turning it into something new and creative. He is doing this for
no profit. All of that falls under fair use.
So my question is, since Pogo is actually in Australia, what's the difference? What kind of
copyright laws does Australia have and are they strong enough to convict Pogo of actual copyright
infringement?
Shit sucks, man. :(

Agreed he wasn't in violation, BUT you're supposed to file a DMCA counter-claim saying that or it
doesn't mean shit. As terrible a law as the DMCA is, it only gets abused so much because people
don't fight bullshit claims ...

Also Australia basically has the DMCA too, as part of the 2004 free trade agreement. Which in
addition allowed software patents and extended copyright terms. FFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

how do you file a DMCA claim if the infringer isn't in the US?
