maybe he has a point however isn't "right side up" determined by gravity?
hmmm confusing

even if the world was flat, i really dont see why it would matter for the average man, woman, or
child. Being inhabitants of a planet or a plane doesn't change anything for the average day to
day living of the inhabitants.
Now I'm not a physicist or a trial lawyer or a mathematician, but I believe his fundamental
premise is wrong. Air planes don't have to fly at the same altitude all the time and they do
adjust their heading rather often, that's just silly. There's also the matter of gravity and
perspective. If you observe the way insects live their daily lives, they will often do seemingly
impossible feats like walk upside down on trees and ceilings and the like. But from their limited
perspective, they are right side up. The problem is a matter of gravity, scale, and perspective.
Are the people on the opposite hemispheres upside down? From the perspective from someone on the
other side of the planet, maybe. But not from their own. Their center of gravity remains the core
of the earth, just like the people who are 'right side up'.
It's like when you go on top of a big hill and over look the ocean. In the distance the ocean
looks like it is towering above the land, but in reality it isn't. Being tricked by perspective
doesn't make you a fool, it doesn't interfere with your ability to hold math degrees or win jury
trials. But that doesn't mean you are always right about other things.

i guess a lot of people he knows is wrong about him not being a fool. i guess that makes them a
bunch of fools as well

I agree, the whole conversation about what the Earth's shape is fundamentally pointless. I think
the main discussion behind what the Earth's shape is more about whether or not what you are being
told is the truth or a lie.

question everything
do not think for a second that scientists (or any group) are beyond the pull or influence of
money & power
that being said I don't believe the earth is flat

his argument is wrong because he rotates the globe around the plane when he goes east to west and
then rotates the plane when he goes north to south. The relation of the start position of the
plane is the same in east to west compared to north to south. In other words this guy is a fool.

this is the most retarded flash I have seen this year.
If you take a ball and put your thumb on the top of it, then slowly move the ball until you reach
the other side, why in the fuck should your finger be upside down? This makes no fucking sense,
when will demented people be neutered?

>do not think for a second that scientists (or any group) are beyond the pull or influence of
money & power
True, but if you have hundreds of different scientific or research groups all coming to similar
conclusions, you can trust that the conclusions are gonna be accurate.
>> [_] Anonymous 10/17/18(Wed)13:19:25 No.3363612
is this an actual flat earth argument? surely this isn't serious
maybe I've just been brainwashed by "scientism", but haven't any flat-earthers heard of gravity?

i agree, hinduism is the one and only truth

Brilliant, how has no one else thought of this.

>if you flew in an airplane 180 degrees around the earth from the north pole to the south pole
you'd start off at a certain angle (relative to I dunno, the earth's axis) and end at 180 degrees
to your initial angle
Yep, makes sense to me
>that proves the flat earth is impossible
No, that proves that spheres... are spheres.
Of course you don't *feel* upside down, because upside down doesn't really have any meaning in
space. I love the way he just casually dismisses flying around the equator as making sense, as
you start off "sideways" and end "sideways", which makes total sense to him.
Literally retarded.

They all believe it was made up, and that the flat earth is actually accelerating upwards at 9.8
m/s^2, for no apparent reason.
There's a reason why the flat earth theory isn't exactly popular in the sciences.
