[_] Installing Flash on Debian, please help! Anonymous 10/04/18(Thu)19:45:00 No.3361237
I'm running Debian and I cannot for the life of me get flash to run on chromium. (ungoogled
chromium to be precise)
I've tried installing 'browser-plugin-freshplayer-pepperflash' and it didn't do shit.

Yes, I've tried installing the files from adobe's website.

I'm on Ubuntu and use firefox, but I use adobe-flashplugin not sure if that helps

I FIGURED IT OUT!
Download deb file: https://packages.debian.org/sid/amd64/pepperflashplugin-nonfree/download
Install with dpkg -i filename.deb
Dunno why the page for installing flash on debian's own website doesn't just say this...

Firefox uses NPAPI (Gecko), not PPAPI (Pepper). Different renderer.

I forgot how I did it but I used the "libflashplayer.so" file that adobe provides. It always
worked with my firefox version.

There's no need to manually install PepperFlash. You can use apt-pinning to pull it (and nothing
else) from Sid.
