  Theres more than a few of my flashes which seem to have broken, when I open them up i get error
  messages ranging from one to many, and then the flash wont work properly, either audio, visuals,
  interactions etc. Any way to prevent this from happening or to fix without just redownloading it
  from swfchan?

  What kind of error messages do you get?
  Inside Flash Player? Browser errors? Operating system?
  I do know for a fact that some old flashes tend to break in today's version of flash player, but
  they rather just return a blank white screen than errors.
  Can you play them with the projector? Media player classic?
  Sounds to me like the files are broken (on the harddisk). That would mean no way to repair them.

  its strange because these flashes used to work before on the same flash player I use [Flash

  player 11 and onwards
