sure captcha got rid of some spam but at what cost? all the fun people left /b/ and nobody
bothers to image dump anymore.
solving it with proper filters would have been way better. it's not really that hard to set up
good spam detection via filters but moot opted for the easy route with captcha and after he
realized there was money to be made by selling Gold Accounts to bypass captcha and reduce post
cooldowns, well then he would never change to a better system and we're forever stuck with
captcha.
