I'm a programmer who does freelance and has a fulltime job. I originally found /f/ from
newgrounds when I was a shitposting 12-year-old. I've lurked ever since, and am now 23. Seeing
this place die would be really shitty, as I've made it a tradition to look at all of the flashes
as soon as I get home, so here's the question you've been waiting for:
Do you want me to do anything about it? If Hiroshi's willing to let me implement a modded version
of the ruffle wasm framework then I would be more than willing. I don't know how to reach him(He
dosen't respond to the bizdev emails), and I want to ask him If I could do such a thing.
P.S. Implementing ruffle wouldn't really change much about flash performance, and you would be
able to download flashes as .wasm files rather than .swf files.

That's a pretty good idea, if anything, I'd be afraid that the site would die like most other
*chan sites, but it would still be cool I guess.
Sidenote: I wish hiro would let programmers work for 4chan(nel) like moot did, I would gladly
like to improve the cesspit I live in.

If this was implemented then you could play swf files directly on 4chan without any additional
plugins, so theoretically on any device, even after flash plugin is dropped, making this board
life eternal (as long as there will be content)

Again, as I said in the thread on /qa/, you're best bet is honestly to get a hold of Dev-kun
through his Github or social media. IRC is full of idlers and useless mods. The feedback page
"works," but only for reporting faults in 4chan itself, not when it comes to suggestions or
solicitations. (If you're not aware: Dev-kun goes by mrvacbob in most places, so it's probably
best to try messaging those accounts).

you can't decompile it directly, you'd have to re-convert it to a swf if you wanted to do a good
ole' fashioned flash hack, but that's really it
