so sick and tired of unjust 3 day bans because of vague global rule 3 giving mods the ability to
ban for ANYTHING.
and because it's a "short" ban you can't even appeal it. you should always be able to do so
because if you feel mistreated a 3 day ban is not short.
mods should also not be able to issue global bans because no mod know every board culture,
something unacceptable on board A might be completely fine on board B.
unacceptable = can be literally anything due to global rule 3

I have a hypothesis that if all bans could be appealed, regardless of length, there would be way
less bullshit where mods abuse their power. Of course, such a change to the system would never
happen, as that would make the mods absurdly bootyblasted.

The mods don't actually give a fuck about appeals. Trust me. I appealed an arbitrary permanent
ban given for shitposting in a loli thread on /a/ every 30 days for 4 months before finally
giving up. Its almost as if they would rather people ban evade than go about things the
legitimate way

the appeal system needs to change too, could pick 1000 random 4chan users and display a "you've
been randomly selected as an appeal checker" at the bottom of each page, then the anon is
presented with the violating post and the ban reason and ban duration and the appeal text. the
question "is this ban justified?" is presented and after yes or no has been selected a simple
"thank you" along with the current vote results to serve as a carrot for someone to do this (the
link at the bottom can be ignored if people want to).
if 60% of the votes become "is justified" the appeal is denied and can't be appealed again for 10
days, if 60% think it's an unjust ban the appeal is approved, otherwise the ban remains but can
be appealed again immediately.
this is just an example system and could of course be made better, just saying that something
like this would be better than the current system.
it should be the community using the board where someone got banned that have the final say
whether the ban was justified or not, not some random mod who is having a bad day
