I ordered a new computer today!
Picked GeForce RTX 2060. The 2070 is 50% more expensive but will only boost FPS by 10% at 1440p.
Sure, it has "just 6 GB" of VRAM but very few games use more than 4 GB anyway. Even at 4K,
whenever I get such a monitor, the card can still produce 30-50 fps. Games might become more
demanding over time but the graphic card drivers will also improve. No doubt RTX 2060 is the best
bang for your buck this year.

do you think you'll get that sweet 60 fps on illusion games now?

those things are demanding, hoping for at least 24 fps

if you use a 3D render engine, you'll likely use way more than 6GB of video RAM on a heavy scene.
Something for folks to consider when selecting.

i don't do 3D rendering or video editing. if i wanted to it would still work with 6 GB of VRAM,
things just gets slower.
same with any futire games that use all of 6 GB VRAM, there will just be more pop-ins as less
used textures gets replaced with the needed texture. not using ultra hd textures is also an
option in games, i find that it's usually not a big deal unless you are in VR.
i think more and more games will get better at texture management techniques as well. while
looking through benchmark videos i noticed that Witcher 3 only uses around 2 GB VRAM at maxed
settings in 4K which was a little surprising, either they simply don't have any 4K textures or
they do a really good job at swapping out textures for appropriate distances (lower res for
things further away and so forth).

>buying Nvidia Shit
Who even wants to play the "new" CallOfBattlefield with 1337000p?
I use 1080p and get all the frames with a fraction of the cost and not buying from shit tier
companies.
But I guess I can't render that one hair on that one guy's bumcheek at FullHD. Woe is me.

i still support AMD with their CPU.
if they can be competitive with their next line of graphics cards I'm all for it.
