Depends on what you define as better.
It was certainly more creative and although just as narcissistic and cruel, still a seemingly
humble community. Sure memes back then were hard to come by meaning they got popular fast and
were usually completely original rather than an image and text but only a fraction of how many
were internally known throughout the boards.
In a world where memes are created daily, where content is outsourced by people on their phones,
creativity on this site has slowly deteriorated. But there is still a sense of originality. And
unless we inject steroids into that originality, this site will become bland as fuck.
