how to flash? how do I make flash?
>> [_] Anonymous 05/16/19(Thu)22:35:17 No.3390660
I made some of the hacked porn flashes when I was bored. Mostly the ones that block stuff off to
non patreons.

I've made a few loops. I enjoy getting the audio to repeat seamlessly and syncing it to the
visuals.
Simple and effective

Sometimes you have to make bad things to learn how to do it better. Nothing wrong with that

No. I should pirate flash, though. I figure I'm at least 1/10 of the community at this point.

No; I couldn't get the authoring software to run on linux. I want to try again sometime.

As in Flash CSx?
It run fantastically on my machine.
IIRC the installer didn't work properly and I had to copy the program folder from windows, but
once that was done everything went smoothly.

Some decade ago, I was a filthy video conversion pleb. Basically the only thing I could
contribute to /f/.
Then some anon told me off "You could make this a perfect loop, but you don't know how to make
even a single line of Actionscript, do you?", and I knew he was right.
You can't call yourself a connuseur of flash if you don't know the first thing about the format.
So over the years, after I was already familiar with the flashes and board culture, I started to
look more into what flash actually is, how it works and what sets it apart from other video
formats.
Then the swfchan tutorial How2Floop came along and I thought, it's finally time to install CS3.
Made a simple image (not even gif) loop around with music.
And from there, you just venture on. Gifs, FLVs, looping song bits, different loops (intro,
loop), coding AS3, making start/stop buttons, preloaders, etc.
I still wouldn't call myself an actual flash creator, but I'm proud to say that I learned at
least the absolute minimum to call myself a true old/f/ag and years later I made some of my old
video loops into genuine loops with AS gotoandplay.
Sadly, as I have absolutely no artistic skills and veery limited coding skills, there's only so
much I can do, when Flash, at its core, is a drawing program.
That feel when you get into flash, years after it's peak when it's already dying.
So
tl;dr: yes

as long as you keep making new swfs it will never die. it will just not be mainstream.
>> [_] Anonymous 05/17/19(Fri)21:17:18 No.3390791
people still make music and animations on commodore 64s. Flash will never truly die
