Man, i just wanted to make this thread because i feel like this board is one of the last bastions
of old 4chan. I feel like almost every board here is infected with /pol/ bullshit and it really
irritates me. I hate the sjw aspects of the current culture too, but how did it escalate into
craziness like this? It wasn't like this before 2010. Yeah we had GIGANIGGER threads on /b/ and
whatever but it wasn't politically loaded. It was just stupid and it wasn't taken seriously. But
now, we have legit propaganda on almost every board from /v/ to /ic/, God-damn Hitler motivation
videos on /wsg/ and alt-right archives on /t/orrents. And if you don't agree with them, you're
against them. Strange to think that one point we thought that ponyfags was the worst thing to
happen to this site. All political bullshit should be cast into the oblivion, was it nazi or sjw
bullcrap.

When the internet was something to be accessed only on a desktop computer after a long day at
school/work, people left their biases at the door and just wanted to have FUN. Now since some
people essentially live on the internet with their smartphones, they think internet life should
be srs business like reality, because they're too stupid to tell the difference. If 4chan were
inaccessible by cell phone tomorrow then post quality would spike like magic.

Old internet is dead, we are living in the web 2.0 eternal september. Phones probably play a
little into it but accessibility only is part of it. The web economy has decided that people's
attention matters more than anything else and keeping their attention is easiest with outrage.
Ads make money with it but it trains people to participate in the same way and we end up with the
over politicized outrage shitposting that has taken over most of the web. There's still places
like old 4chan around but they are all hidden behind log in screens, not SOE friendly, or on an
old protocol which doesn't support emojis.

Gookmoot and restoring this place to it's former glory.
>Temporarily ban and prune all spam threads (WWYD, Racebait, Tribute threads, etc.)
>Replace mod team with people who ACTUALLY CARE
>Disable phoneposting or even make a seperate 4chan (SmartChan or some shid) for phoneposters
>Encourage and make or sticky more lulz and OC threads to inspire other anons to do the same.
>Allow tomfoolery, shenaniganz, and good discussion once more
>Remove coomer ads
I wish I could do all of this, but I don't have the money to buy 4chan and pay for bandwith.
Maybe someday a band of anons will pitch in together to buy it or something.
It seems like there may be soon a revolution comeback thing, I can feel it, but I'm not too
positive about it. :c
I guess we can just enjoy what we still got while we do, and when the normalfags inevitably take

Reddit niggers thinking that identifying or accusing somebody as a user of <board I don't like>
is how an argument is won. That and/or faggots who don't know not to feed trolls. Leading to a
huge influx of /pol/-flavoured bait that they simply can't refuse to bite because of their single
digit IQs and all consuming paranoia. Which incentivizes more bait because it gets endless (you)s.
I've never seen a thread on /tg/ or /vg/ suddenly get derailed from topic on to how elves are a
jewish plot. But there isn't a single day that goes by without seeing a thread go up in flames
because of an obvious drive-by shitpost getting 30+ (you)'s from retards screaming about how

each other on the ass for sticking it to the nazis lurking in every shadow, and screeching at the

post on topic.
If anything the only time I see a thread getting ruined by political faggot flashmobs is on /co/

I think phoneposting, and by extension, modern internet culture have a lot to do with this. You
cannot have one without the other.
It isn't just about the phone's accessability, but also the type of software and the design most
often employed on it. Its accessability promotes negative habit forming behavior which, in turn,
creates a dependency. What's it that you pause for a minute to check all your social networking
apps? It's only a minute. Again, then again, and again, until all the single minutes gathered
over a day total to an hour. With it comes a similar type of conditioning that compliments the
habit's function: If you're checking your social media, might as well post; may as well respond.
On all of them. Facebook, twitter, 4chan? All accessible from the same menu, and very likely to
be accessed together in a short timespan. Social media comingles and interposting becomes rampant.
This alone wouldn't be too harmful if it didn't also lead to obsessive behaviors exacerbated by
great accessability. If you form a consistent habit of checking your phone every ten minutes,
you're going to be irritated if anyone or anything interrupts it; similarly, if your posting
within that every ten minute timeframe is interrupted or somehow affected, you'll have a
reaction. You start depending on any response you do get. Add to that outrage culture and
attention and you have a recipe for disaster. It's the internet's cultural equivalent of
politically correct "diversity": blend everything in a single pot and get the exact inverse as a
result.
Thankfully, most of it is fairly easy to filter out exactly as a result of that interposting, but
the majority of people won't go through the effort of gathering a massive list of MD5s and common
noise words.
TL;DR: Filter and block out any and all facebookposters, actively discourage crossposting
behavior. You know the ones. The ones who spread the nonsensical and completely unrelated meme of
the week.
