Flash won't "Die". The plugin can be shoehorned into browsers later. Otherwise the standalone
player exists.
Though, /f/ could get archived. Don't want that.
Marked for deletion (old).

>The plugin can be shoehorned into browsers later
Not sure about that, the articles I've read mention actively refusing to install or run the
plugin when detected, it's not just that flash will stop being actively supported but simply
banned and not allowed anymore.
And while yes, the standalone player will always exist along with third party players (swfplayer
for example), the point here is that Flash's time is officially over. A new generation of kids
will grow up without ever knowing what flash ever was, I don't doubt there will still be indie
devs making and releasing games (mostly porn) in flash, but new content will slowly dwindle down
until it's a mostly dead format. And with that, this board might get shut down, because you
wouldn't even be able to play them in browsers anymore

Yeah I bet, just like how firefox isn't supposed to allow access to local files, something that
prevents you from having a custom homepage using files on your computer--yet here I am doing just
that.

There are already browsers who's sole point is to be able to play flash.
Flash has a serious cult following that has been growing by nostalgia and even spreading to the
ones who grew up without it.
The Flash format isn't going anywhere anytime soon.

Not that guy, but I'm glad something like that exists. I was thinking about someone making an
alternative browser for the sole purpose to browse flash content. Chromium is open source for
such projects.

Man, and it was almost a perfect browser too.

Why do people care so much anyway? Honestly outside of here and 1 or 2 other sites, i have no
interaction with flash on the internet. It's such a dead form of media

"dead" and "shunned" are two different things.
