Late 2014. Shortly before retiring, moot nuked /pol/.
Post times were removed, captcha removed (so bots abound), wordfilters applied, eyerape css, lots
of background music and embedded videos and stupid stickies and stuff like that.
People from [s4s] invaded the place and pretty much took it over
It remained that way for about a month. Mind you, this was before Trump came along and before
/pol/ quadrupled in popularity, so it wasn't a big deal at the time. That board's most dedicated
(=crackpot) users moved to 8gag.
In retrospective, that place should've stayed nuked imo. /pol/ grew massively since then and
became the 2nd biggest board after /v/. Its explosive growh permanently colored 4chan and gave it
a reputation for being "that far-right forum", which, as always, is a self-fulfilling prophecy
for 4chan.
