Yeah, 2 years ago I told my only group of friends that I was going to be by myself from then on.
Haven't had any IRL friends since.

i told 1 friend that i no longer wanted to be his friend and my other friends took his side in
the issue i was upset over. last time i tried to be honest about my feelings to anyone.

That's rough, must've been unexpected.
But I wouldn't close yourself off so absolutely.
Not saying you should dive back into being all open and honest, but give people a chance. You
deserve it, and you shouldn't rob yourself of emotional attachment with other people because of a
bad experience.
In my case, it wasn't my friends that were the problem, it was me. I just felt like I didn't
belong around them, or anyone. That I wasn't a good person and I ruined the things I was around.
I couldn't be comfortable around other people anymore, I would just be frozen and have idea what
to say or do that seemed right or natural. So I told them I had some things to sort out or
something, tried to convince them it was me and not them, and that was it.
