/f/ is not going away
the mods aren't interested in deleting one of 4chan's oldest boards
its purpose as an upload board stays the same after this year, browsers just won't support the
embed function.
/f/ will never die!

Why doesn't someone make a standalone browser purely for flash sites? Like how Tor can disable
javascript on sites, why can't someone make one stripped down for just flash?

we don't need yet another browser with less than 10 thousand users, which means they get security
patches very late. you'd still need to use the official flash plugin that adobe has bricked,
meaning you need to use a very old plugin (less security patches)
it would have been nice if adobe open sourced the flash player, imagine browsers being able to
display swf files natively just like jpg files doesn't need a plugin to be viewed in a browser.
never going to happen though, adobe is abandoning flash but its technologies are still used here
and there by adobe. theoretically someone could make their own flash player since the flash
FORMAT is open. but that would take many years to make it able to play back all swf files half as
well as adobe's player.

Speaking of, anyone got a download link to flash player 27 or below? That's the latest one
without a kill-switch if I'm remembering correctly
