there are a lot of great skits in Azumanga, but they're spread out between a lot of mediocre or
plain awful ones. same with nichijou except that space is even wider.

I remember both as great, on the same tier.
I've not seen Azumanga Daioh for 18 years though while Nichijou I saw only 9 years ago so maybe
my memory fails me.
